So, went into local dealer yesterday, Steven Eagles in Cambridge, and placed an order for the GR86.
So, the reality of ownership has taken a step forward. They hope to get their first demo car in June, so will then be able to go and take a drive.
The excitement level has now started to increase.
Gone for red 8-)

Hi Nigel, my wife has also placed a deposit with them after Peterborough failed to call us back.

Maybe you'll be collecting the same day when the time arrives.

Please could you tell me what spec you have ordered as there is no proper spec on the Toyota site,I am going to order one tomorrow but with no proper spec on the site I am unsure what to order.Thanks.

Saha, there isn't much to choose from.

Manual or automatic.

Then just your colour, there's no other options I'm told.

My wife has ordered a manual car in white £29,999 + £999 for the paint.

Placed my deposit on Friday last week... but no order confirmation yet. It was supposed to start on the 11th... but turns out dealers got crossed wires. Its week commencing 11th... ie could be any day this week when the orders go live.

As for options. White + Manual for me...

I was so torn between going Electric Blue vs Pearl White... but meh I think the blue is a bit of a gimmick that would wear off. White is timeless / classy / pearly. Red is a bit too flat for me, but it's still great.

The dealers paid my deposit back and told me the initial cars were via the Toyota UK web site.

The portal opened at 10:00 this morning, placed my order, gave the deposit, bank and DL id and car is ordered.

I stupidly left it to my dealer, as they said they would sort it.
When I rang to find out if they had managed to secure a slot, was told chap was on a day off😡😡😡😡😡
Needless to say, No car!
So wish I had done it myself now.
Lesson learned.
